Govt have to bear responsibility if Khaleda’s health deteriorates: Fakhrul

The BNP Secretary General on Saturday warned the government that they would be held liable if the party Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia’s health condition deteriorates.
 “I have asked the government to immediately release Khaleda Zia for her better treatment in any hospital of her choice. Otherwise, he warned, the government would have to bear responsibility if Khaleda’s health condition deteriorates,” Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said it at a press conference in the BNP central office.
Mirza Fakhrul said, they are receiving news that the health condition of the former Prime Minister is gradually worsening in jail.
BNP Secretary General said also that the ruling Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader’s latest statement about Khaleda’s health condition was an ominous sign.
He said, “The ruling party General Secretary’s statement indicated, there are ‘evil intentions’ therein.”
Obaidul Quader said, “Life and death of a person are in the hands of Allah.
No one has anything to do.”
Mirza Fakhrul said the government did not provide Khaleda Zia Orthopedic bed which was suggested by the medical board formed by the government for her treatment.
He also accused the government of barring relatives to meet with the former Prime Minister in jail
BNP Standing Committee Members Dr. Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, Mirza Abbas, Gayeshwar Chandra Roy, Nazrul Islam Khan, Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury, central leaders Ataur Rahman Dhali and Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, among others, were present.
