Govt for turning unemployed youths into human resources

The present government has been working for turning all unemployed youths into worthy and productive human resources through creating job opportunities by imparting vocational training on various trades.
Speakers said this at a workshop title ‘Creating Opportunity for Employment and Self-employment for Unemployed Youths Project, its Progress, Report, Barriers in Implementation and Way-outs’ organised by Youth Development Department (YDD) at its Training Room in Panchagarh town on Wednesday.
The project is being implemented in seven districts of the country’s northern region for creating employment and self-employment opportunities for the unemployed male and female youths to make them economically self-reliant.
Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Mir Khursid Anwar attended the workshop as the chief guest with Additional Deputy Commissioner (Gen) of Panchagarh Ahmed Kabir in the chair.
Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer of Panchagarh Maksuda Begum Siddika, Director of the project Nazrul Islam from Dhaka, District Livestock Officer Dr Afaz Uddin, Deputy Director of the YDD Abul Hossain, District Youth Development Officer Mostafa Kamal, Sadar Upazila Youth Development Officer Awlad Hossain and Panchagarh Press Club President A Rahman Mukul addressed as the special guests.
About 200 unemployed male and female youths from all 43 unions under five upazilas in Panchagarh district participated in the daylong workshop.
The speakers said the project has already put huge positive impacts on the unemployed youths and narrated future work plans for its successful implementation to make the unemployed youths worthy and productive human resources.
