The government seems nervous at the increasing number of dengue patients in and outside Dhaka, and instead of saving people’s lives, branding the news as rumours and propagandas, says BNP Standing Committee Member Dr. Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain on Monday.
He said this while addressing a rally with call for release of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia. The rally was held in the Sagar-Runi Auditorium of Dhaka Reporters, Unity on Monday afternoon.
Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain said, “The present
government is not the popular government. This government is the government of themselves. That is why they fail everywhere. An accused was stabled by another accused in a Comilla court. Such incident is unprecedented.
He said, “All the dismal events that are happening in Bangladesh represent the disappointed performance of the government.”
“The reason of this dismal performance is that the government does not represent the people. So, they do not think of people very much,” he said.
False charges were brought against the former Premier and BNP chief in order to cut her political career for the benefit of another.
“Why the BNP chief is in prison? Questions the BNP leader, adding that the Prime Minister knows it well that a dictatorship could be established if Begum Khaleda Zia was in jail. That is why Begum Zia is in jail,” he said.
