Govt drops Biman MD’s name from promotion list of new secretaries

The government dropped the name of Biman Bangladesh Airlines Limited managing director and chief executive officer Md Mokabbir Hossain from the list of promoting five additional secretaries to the rank of secretary.
A revised order was issued on late Thursday in
 this regard, mentioning the promotion of only four additional secretaries to the rank of secretary.
In the initial or order Mokabbir Hossain was named as the Railway Ministry secretary.
Additional Secretary of the Civil Aviation and Tourism ministry Mokabbir Hossain was made the managing director and CEO of Biman on September 12, 2019.
Among the newly-promoted secretaries, Ramendranath Bishwas, who was attached to the Finance Division, has been sent to the Planning Commission as a Member.
Health Division additional secretary Md Mostafa Kamal has been made chairman of the Land Reform Board.
Public Administration Ministry’s additional secretary Mokammel Hossain has been transferred to the Civil Aviation and Tourism Ministry as the secretary while Dhaka Division’s Divisional Commissioner Md Mostafizur Rahman has been made the Land secretary, according to the official order.
