Vice Chairman and former Minister Abdullah al Noman said, the govt’s ultimate aim for establishing BAKSAL in the country is clear following the speech of the Social Welfare Minister Syed Mohsin Ali recently.
He said govt is progressing ahead to establish BAKSAL for their long term assumption in state power.
Abdullah al Noman was addressing the Iftar party followed by protest meeting as arranged by CWASA Sramik Dal at WASA office premises on Tuesday as Chief Guest. To protest the autocratic rule of the present govt and torture on opposition leaders and activists including killing, abduction across the country was arranged .
Mr. Noman said Social Welfare Minister disclosed at a party rally recently that the independence of the mass media will be curtailed but BNP will enforce tough movement if any such bill so passed in the parliament against the independency of the media.
He said BNP is demanding the abolition of RAB since long as well as International Human Rights Organisations also called on govt to abolish the elite force.
Former Minister Noman said ruling party cadres abducted a number BNP leaders and activists including Elias Ali chowdhury and if voted to power BNP will trial these killings incidents through constituting tribunal. WASA Sramik Dal President Abul Kalam presided over the protest rally.
Advisor to the BNP chairperson and former state minister Mir Mohammad Nasiruddin was present as principal speaker on the occasion. BNP central Sramik Dal Affairs Secretary AM Nazimuddin, Joint Secretary of Central Sramik Dal Sheikh Nurullah Bahar, Organizing Secretary SM Jamal, Journalist Jahidul Karim Kochi were present in it as special guests.
