Govt committed to ensure healthcare services to people : Minister

Minister for Expatriates Welfare and Overseas Employment Nurul Islam BSc said, present government is determined to ensure the medicare services to the people.
 With this commitment , community clinics are being setup in each ward in city and UP areas across the country.
 He said every citizens are getting healthcare facilities at their door steps and the death rates of mother and children decreased to maximum extents.
He disclosed it while addressing the inaugural ceremony of a Maternity Centre at East Bakalia in city on Friday as chief guest.
He said ruling party always keen to the better health services to the people and this sector has become a developed sector of the present govt. He also mentioned that Marine Technology Institute will be built in Chitagong at a cost of Tk.25 cr very shortly .
 Besides, health sector, present govt is conducting differentdevelopment activities like food security, education, accommodation, power and communication sectors. He said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is determined to build militant-free country. This Maternity centre was constructed at a cost of Tk.39 cr duly financed by the Health and Family Planning Directorate. Among others,
City Mayor AJM Nasiruddin, Director General of Health and Family Planning Directorate Nur Hossain, Health Director Dr. Md. Sharif, Director of Family Planning Deptt, Chittagong Chapter Md. Nurul Alam, Chief Health Officer of City Corporation Dr. Selim Akhter Chowdhury, Deputy Director of FP Sheikh Rukonuddin Ahmed, Panel Mayor Nesaruddin were present on the occasion.
