Govt committed to build knowledge-based society

Speakers at a workshop said the government is committed to building a knowledge-based modern nation through implementing Digital Bangladesh.
They said it is imperative to provide information to the people for building a knowledge-based society as the information helps people enrich their knowledge.
Trinomuler Tathyajanala Programme of ICT Division and Tathyaseba Barta Sangstha (TSB) organized the workshop recently in Sirajganj to provide training to UDC entrepreneurs of Sirajganj district aimed at building their capacity on writing reports and features and outsourcing and e-commerce.
Director General (Admin) and Project Director of A2I of Prime Minister’s Office Kabir Bin Anwar in a teleconference said the UDC entrepreneurs could play an important role to enrich rural people with knowledge by disseminating information to them.
The more the people get to know the information the more they would be empowered, he said, adding that the training on writing reports and features will enhance the capacity of entrepreneurs to disseminate information.
Programme Director of Trinomuler Tathyajanala Dr. Mohammad Mehedi Hasan chaired the workshop at Sirajganj DC’s Conference room.
It was also addressed, among others, by Additional Deputy Commissioner of Sirajganj Shamim Alam.
TSB Assistant Editor Protik Mahmud made a power point presentation highlighting the overall activities of Trinomuler Tathyajanala Programme.
Shamim said the training on writing reports and features under Trinomuler Tathyajanala will ensure flow of grassroots information and the rural people will be the ultimate beneficiaries after getting the information of their livelihood.
Mehedi Hasan said the UDC entrepreneurs are not only getting training on writing reports and features under Trinomuler Tathyajanala Programme but also on outsourcing and e-commerce.
