The Acting Secretary General of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said, the government has been continuing in power unethically and illegally, and without the mandate of the people. The sufferings of the people have been increasing because the government has been ruling the country at their sweet will for not being at all an elected government.
Fakhrul was addressing a conference at Jhenaidah Priya Cinema Hall auditorium on Tuesday noon.
Presided over by BNP district unit president and
ex-law maker Mashiur Rahman, Fakhrul was the chief guest.
Alamgir said, the law enforcing agency men have been torturing the common people in the name of administration to make the country unfit for living countrywide.
He said, the ruling Awami League had snatched the rights to vote from the people as of their autocratic shape. He urged upon the people, especially the followers of Shahid Ziaur Rahman, to uphold the flag of BNP and resist the autocratic government of AL at no delay.
BNP joint-secretary General Mohammad Shahjahan, Nitai Roy Chowdhury, Jhenaidah district unit secretary Abdul Malek, among others, spoke on the occasion.
