The Ministry of Education has asked for a list of all teachers and staff on an emergency basis as it plans to vaccinate all teachers before reopening educational institutions. It was informed in a notification of the Secondary and Higher Education Department of the Ministry of Education on Sunday.
All educational institutions across the country are set to reopen from March 30 after remaining closed for over a year due to a coronavirus pandemic. Before reopening educational institutions, the government wanted to vaccinate all teachers and employees. In the meantime, teacher options have been added to the security options server. The government has planned to vaccinate teachers first and then students.
The age limit for vaccinating teachers has been relaxed. Earlier, teachers aged 40 and above can get vaccinated on a priority basis, but from now on, teachers below 40 can also get vaccinated. However, the safety app for students has not yet been categorized.
Be sure to register at www.surokkha.gov.bd to get vaccinated.
However, the list of teachers and employees of public and private (MPO/ non-MPO) educational institutions (schools and colleges) who are below 40s should send a soft copy to the Director-General, Department of Health in the table prescribed by the Ministry of Education. After the Department of Health confirms their registration options, these teachers and staff will also have to register and get vaccinated.
