The government has extended the ongoing restrictions by another five days till August 10 in a bid to prevent the spread of coronavirus (Covid-19). Shops and shopping malls across the country will reopen on August 11 on some conditions including taking Covid-19 vaccine.
The decision was taken at an inter-ministerial meeting on Tuesday to review the Covid-19 situation.
The meeting was attended by 12 ministers and state ministers, 16 secretaries, principal staff officers of the armed forces, inspector general of police, director general of DGHS and director of IEDCR.
Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque disclosed this at a press briefing after an inter-ministerial meeting on Tuesday.
