Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Imran Ahmed said the government has adopted ‘Zero Tolerance Policy’ policy against human trafficking as it is committed to ensure fair, orderly and responsible migration.
“Along with introducing various campaigns and awareness programs to discourage irregular migration, the government has undertaken various activities to make the people skilled and send them abroad legally”, Imran said this on Tuesday at a meeting with Italian Ambassador to Bangladesh Enrico Nunziata.
They also discussed issues related to prevention of human trafficking, ensuring quality and legal labor migration, improving the skills of Bangladeshi workers, expanding Bangladesh’s labor market in Italy and developing bilateral relations between the two countries.
