The government led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has achieved remarkable success in the education sector to make the students worthy citizens.
Member of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges Nazmul Haque Prodhan yesterday said this at a ceremony held at Panchagarh BP Government High School in Panchagarh district town as the chief guest.
Panchagarh BP Government High School authority organised the ceremony for according reception to 223 brilliant students who got GPA-5 in the last SCC and JSC examinations.
Deputy Commissioner of Panchagarh Amal Krishna Mandal presided over the function participated by teachers and students of the institution, guardians, officials, political leaders, public representatives, civil society members and journalists.
Panchagarh Zila Parisahd Administrator Abu Bakar Siddique, District Muktijoddha Commander Mirja Abul Kalam Dulal, Joint Secretary of district Awami League Manira Parveen and Headmistress of Panchagarh Government Girls’ High School Rekha Rani Debi attended as special guests. Headmaster of Panchagarh BP Government High School Rafikul Islam delivered welcome speech.
Terming education as the backbone of any nation, the speakers asked the students to devote to studies to flourish their latent talents to become knowledgeable citizens befitting for the 21st century. Abu Bakar Siddique suggested the students to acquire science and information communication technology (ICT)-based modern education for building a prosperous nation.
