Government cannot be removed by breaking sculpture

Awami League General Secretary for Roads and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader MP has said that the Awami League government led by Sheikh Hasina cannot be removed by smashing the sculpture of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu and running to foreign embassies with the help of militants and fundamentalists.
Addressing BNP leader Mirza Fakrul Islam Alamgir, he said, “Stand by the people when the government is to be removed.”
Elections are the democratic way to change the government. Prepare for the next election, if you win the election, then the government will automatically fall.
There will be no need for vandalism, arson and destructive movement.
He made the above remarks in a virtual speech as the chief guest at the tri-annual conference of Adamdighi Upazila Awami League in Bogra on Saturday. In the context of the conference, he said, drug dealers, smugglers and controversial people will not pull the Awami League.
The people’s party Awami League has no shortage of dedicated and experienced leaders and workers. Central Awami League President (Acting) Advocate Kudrat-e Elahi Kajal presided over the conference and Central Awami League Organizing Secretary SM Kamal Hossain, Health Secretary Dr Rokeya Sultana and Member Sahabuddin Faraji spoke as special guests.
The conference was inaugurated by district Awami League president Mojibur Rahman Majnu.
District Awami League general secretary Ragebul Hasan Ripu spoke as the keynote speaker. Alhaj Sirajul Islam Khan Raju, General Secretary of Upazila Awami League and Chairman of Upazila Parishad addressed the function. After the first session, the second session was held at Rahim Degree College Hall under the chairmanship of District Awami League President Mojibur Rahman Majnoor.
District Awami League general secretary Ragebul Ahsan Ripu, district Awami League leader Ruhul Momin Tariq, Sultan Mahmud Rony and other district Awami League leaders were present at the time. In the second session, Bogra district Awami League president Mojibur Rahman Majnu declared Alhaj Sirajul Islam Khan Raju as president and Abu Reza Khan as general secretary without contest.
