Government appoints three envoys

The government has appointed three Ambassadors to UN Offices, Australia and Denmark on Sunday.
Mohammad Sufiur Rahman, who is currently serving as the Bangladesh High Commissioner to Australia, is the next Permanent Representative of Bangladesh to the UN
Offices in Geneva and Ambassador of Bangladesh to Switzerland.
He also served as Bangladesh High Commissioner to Sri Lanka and Bangladesh Ambassador to Myanmar.
On the other hand, Allama Siddiki, currently serving as Bangladesh Ambassador to Denmark, has been made the next High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Australia.
Before Denmark, he has served as Bangladesh Ambassador to Türkiye. He has in his bag the experience of representing Bangladesh in many bilateral and multilateral meetings.
Meanwhile, A.K.M. Shahidul Karim, currently serving as Bangladesh Ambassador to Bhutan, has been appointed as the new Ambassador of Bangladesh to Denmark.
Mohammad Sufiur Rahman in his illustrious diplomatic career has served extensively in various capacities in the Headquarters as well as in Bangladesh Missions abroad such as New Delhi, Geneva and Islamabad. He also served as Director at SAARC Secretariat in Kathmandu.
While M. Allama Siddiki has served in the Headquarters as well as in Bangladesh Missions abroad in Tokyo, Kolkata, Islamabad and London.
On the other hand, Shahidul Karim worked in the Headquarters as well as in Bangladesh Missions abroad such as Stockholm, Cairo and London.
He was the Bangladesh Consul General in Jeddah. Just before leaving for his maiden Ambassadorial assignment in Bhutan, Karim was serving as the Chief of Protocol at the Ministry.
