The 9th founding anniversary of Gouripur Reporters Club was observed translating different programmes at its office on Tuesday. Md Mufazzal Hosain Khan ,Uapazila Chairman of Gouripur Upazila Parishad inaugurated the programme by cutting a cake and distributing sweet meats among the guests and other prominent persons were present.
Marking the occasion, a discussion meeting was held with Gouripur Reporters Club President Md. Raihan Uddin Sarkerin the chair. The discussion was addressed among others by Md. Shafiqul Islam Mintu,President of Gouripur Press Club, Bag Faruk Ahmed, President of Gouripur Sangbadik Okya Forum, Salma Akter Rubi, Vice-Chairman, Gouripur Upazila Parishad, Md. Abdul Gafur, Upazila General Secretary of Jatiya Party. Md. Abdul Kadir, Councilor of Gouripur Municipality and many others were present. Later a colourful rally with brand party was brought out from club premises and terminated at the same place after parading the main roads of the town.
