The Birangana Sakhina (B.S.) Silver Pen Awards are awarded to the different fields including journalism; research, science and technology; arts, education, language, literature, and social service in greater Mymensingh areas for the first time.
Vice President of this committee and Returning Officer of the first electoral voting system, Principal Md Sayedul Haque announced the names of the winners of Birongana Sakhina (B.S.) Silver Pen Awards for 2012 recently. .
The President of the electoral committee Md. Fazar Ali presided over the ceremony.
The winners are Shah Alam Bhuyan, Nandail Correspondent of the Daily Ittefaq as best reporter , Amioya Dutta Bhowmik as Web Editor of Bangla News24.com, Dhaka as best photography in the field of journalism, Gouripur Correspondent of the New Nation and a researcher Mohammad Raihan Uddin Sarker as excellent innovator in the field of research, science and technology, Selim Al Raj of Gouripur for contribution in the field of arts, education, language, literature, and Joynal Abedin of Mymensingh sadar for contributions in the field of social service in greater Mymensingh areas .
