Gouripur Correspondent :Gouripur Free Day was celebrated on Monday with various programme held in Gouripur upazila of Mymensingh district. On December 8, 1971 the upazila was freed from the clutches of the Pakistani occupation forces and their collaborators Gouripur Sector Commander Forum, Upazila Coordinator Committee and many cultural groups organised a day-long programme to celebrate the day.A meeting was also held attended by Upazila Commander of the Muktijoddha Sangsad,Md Abdur Rahim , with others- freedom fighters, political leaders, journalists, poets and educationalists, an NGO officials to mark the day.
