Goods name changed of insurance claim by fraudulence

A policy holder of Central Insurance filed a case against its insurer and Meghna Bank’s top officials for not giving claim for insured goods through fraudulence.
The case was filed in the Senior Judicial Magistrate Court No-3 of Noakhali on Tuesday under section 406,468.471, 420 and 109 of penal code. Case No.-681 Judge Mashfiqul Haque ordered CID to investigate the case, Advocate Mohammad Abul Kashem, plaintiff’s lawyer said.
Chairman of the Board of Directors of Central Insurance Company Mohammad Abu Taher Chowdhury, Chief Executive Officer Md. Zahid Anwar Khan, Branch Coordinator Feroza Akhter, Chairman of Meghna Bank HN Ashiqur Rahman, Current Managing Director Md Adil Islam, Former Managing Director Md Nurul Amin and the then Manager of soyani branch of the bank Md. Minur Alam Chowdhury are the accused of the case, said the lawyer of the plaintiff Nur Uddin.
The lawyer said Nur Uddin, an owner of M/ s Noor Hardware and Sanitary of Rajbang Bazar in Noakhali. He took a loan of Tk 75 lakh from Sayani branch of the Bank on the business in June 2016.
To avoid the risk of debt, Nur Uddin took a fire policy from Central Insurance Company of Tk 82 lakh and fifty thousand against the bank loan. The policy holder took a cover note or receipt letter No- 0080-06-26 on the same.
But during the term of the insurance policy, on December 25, the borrower’s business shop was caught fire. Other shops in the market including Nur Uddin’s business were burnt to ashes.
Then the policy holder claimed compensation to the insurer through the Bank branch manager Mainur Alam Chowdhury. Then Central Insurance Company offers another cover letter of Agni Bima policy (Fire Insurance) to its Insurance customer Nur Uddin after the survey of loss. A new cover note number 0099-09-2006 where the goods descriptions in the cover note were fridge, TV and AC instead of Hardware and Sanitary.  
After the fire incident, the Bank and the Insurance Company changed the cover note through fraudulence, claimed Nur Uddin.
