Goods handling suspended at Port outer anchorage

Loading and unloading of goods from ships remain suspended at the outer anchorage of the Chattogram seaport since Wednesday morning as cyclonic storm ‘Titli’ intensified into a severe cyclonic storm over the West-Central Bay and adjoining area.
.Md Omar Faruk, secretary of port authority, said that the activities at the outer anchorage remained suspended since 10 am following the adverse weather. However, activities at jetty container remained normal.
The severe cyclonic storm ‘Titli’ over west-central bay and adjoining area moved slightly northwards over the same area and was centered at 12 noon yesterday about 910 km southwest of Chattogram Port, 870 km southwest of Cox’s Bazar Port, 775 km southwest of Mongla Port and 780 km southwest of Payra
