Gono Shashthaya Kendro (GSK) distributed blankets among the poor people sufferings from acute cold in the capital on Wednesday.
The GSK distributed blankets among 600 families including rickshaw and van pullers and other poor people in Jatrabari and Mirhajeerbagh areas in the city.
Sheikh Rafiqul Islam Bablu, Secretary General of Bhasani Onusari Parishad, Freedom Fighter Nayeem Zahangir, Gono Shashthaya Press Adviser Jahangir Alam Mintu, Freedom Fighter Akhter Hossain, Social workers Mojammel Haque Master and Sanaullah of Bhasani Onusari Parishad leaders Zahid-A-Reza and Moni Bhuiyan were present.
Rafiqul Islam Bablu said, Gono Shashthaya Kendro is serving the people with low cost medical treatment since the liberation war till now.
It also is providing foods, warm cloths during winter among the poor people.
Nayeem Jahangir said, Freedom Fighter Dr. Zafrullah Chowdhury will be immortal to the people’s heart as he has initiated the cheaper cost health services to the poor and providing different aids and assistances to them in every hard time.
Jahangir Alam Mintu said, GSK started to distribute 5000 blankets among the poor people to make them get rid of harsh cold wave in this winter across the country.
