Staff Reporter: Gono Shashthaya Kendra distributed free food among the poor people in the different areas in the capital among the lockdown.
The organization distributed atta among 1500 families of the lower income group people like rickshaw pullers, van drivers and the street vendors on Monday in Mohakhali Sattala slum, TB Gate, Banani Karail slum, Badda, Bhatara and Mirhajirbagh area in Jatrabari.
Khushir Thikana, a organization of college students was associated the programme.
Jahangir Alam Mintu, Media Advisor of the Kendra coordinated the program.
Jahangir Alam Mintu said Gono Shashthaya Kendra will continuously provide such help the poor people as most of them have become workless due to the ongoing lockdown.
Shahjalal Siam and Samit Akin of the Khushir Thikana, were present.
Social workers Mizanur Rahman Mizan, Freedom Fighter Selim Pradhan and Shahidul Alam Hero, were present in Mohakhali area while, Social Worker Mozammel Haque Master and Baten Sarkar of the Kendra distributed atta in Mirhajirbagh area.
