The intra-party crisis of Gono Form was resolved and the party would hold a united conference soon, the party president, Kamal Hossain, said on Saturday after holding a meeting with the rival leaders of the party at his Bailey Road residence.
After the meeting, addressing a press conference, Kamal Hossain said that the party would hold a central committee meeting on January 9 to fix the date of the untied council session.

Gono Forum was facing crisis as some central leaders of the part, led by Abu Sayeed, Subrata Chowdhury and Mostafa Mohsin Montu, announced hold a separate conference as a dissident group.
Central leaders of the party Mostafa Mohsin Montu said that party general secretary Reza Kibria, former executive president Abu Sayeed, and Subrata Chowdhury were absent in the meeting as they were suffering from COVID-19.
‘The organisational crisis of the party has been resolved and we are going to hold a united conference,’ Mostafa Mohsin said.
Central leaders of party M Mokabbir Khan, Mostaque Ahmed and others were present at the press conference.
