The Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Dhaka placed ‘Golden Monir’ on 9 days’ fresh remand in three cases filed over illegal possession of foreign currencies, firearms and foreign liquor from his Badda residence in the city.
Magistrate Moinul Islam of the CMM Court passed the order on Thursday.

Earlier, Detective Branch of police produced the accused in the court seeking 10 days’ remand in the case filed under the Arms Act, 20 days’ remand in the
case filed under the Special Powers Act and 5 days’ in the Drug case.
On November 22, separate courts put ‘Golden Monir’ on total of 18 days’ remand in the three cases.
Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) conducted a drive in the residence of ‘Golden Monir’ on November 20. Foreign currencies, Tk1.9 crore, 600 ‘Bhari’ of gold, a foreign pistol were recovered from his possession during the overnight raid.
