Gonosasthaya Kendra and Gono Biswabiddalaya organised prize giving ceremony of photography competition on the occasion of the golden jubilee of the independence on Saturday at Gonosasthaya Samaj Bhittik Medical College Auditorium.
The competition held on ‘Memorial sites and historical sites of Bangladesh’s liberation war in 1971 in the eyes of photographers’.
Hasan Saifuddin was the chief judge of the competition.
29 competitors won the prize. Among those, eight winners has been given Tk 10 thousand as prize money and honorable mentions. The rest 21 winners got Tk two thousand as prize money.
Every winner also got a certificate.
Freedom fighter and former Pro-Vice chancellor of Gono Biswabiddalaya Professor Dr. Layla Parvin Banu and Freedom fighter Captain (retd) Dr. Sitara Begum gave speeches in the function virtually.
The function was addressed by Chief Executive Officer of the Gonosasthaya Kendra Dr. Manzoor Qadir Ahmed, Gono Biswabiddalaya Registrar Dr. S. Tasaddeq Ahmed, Gonosasthaya Kendra Director Tariqul Islam, Bangladesh Photography Society President Ashfaq Ahmed and Md. Rakibul Hasan, President of Photographic Society of Gono Biswabiddalaya.
