Golden Jubilee of Independece celebrated at DIU

To marks the Golden Jubilee of the victory in the Great War of Liberation of Bangladesh, Daffodil International University (DIU) has chalked out two-day long program titled ’50 of 16′. The inaugural program was held today on December 15, 2021 at the Swadhinota Milonayoton of Daffodil International Universityat Daffodil Smart City, Ashulia, Dhaka. Prominent freedom fighter and Vice President of Central Command Council Bangladesh Muktijoddah Sangsand Mr.IsmatQadir Gama spoke as the chief guest at the inaugural seminar organized by the Department of Journalism, Media and Communication of the University. Besides, freedom fighter Farid Mia, freedom fighter Mohammad Ali, freedom fighter Md. Abdul Hekim, Freedom Fighter KhandakerNurul Amin, Freedom Fighter and Director of Finance of Daffodil International University Mr. HamidulHaque Khan, Freedom Fighter and Associate Dean of Faculty of Allied Health Science, Daffodil International University Dr. Bellal Hossain, freedom fighter and professor Dr.ShamsulHaque and Professor AMM Hamidur Rahman, Dean, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Mr. Aftab Hossain, Head of the Department of Journalism, Media and Communicationof Daffodil International University also spoke at the program. The program was conducted by two students Mazhar and SharminNishu.
In this Program a Grand Reception was given to the freedom fighter guardians of the students of the university and the freedom fighter teachers and officials working in the Daffodil family.
Speaking as the chief guest, Mr. IsmatQadir Gamma said, ‘We have got an independent country at the cost of a lot of blood and lives.
This country is not gift of anyone. Our great leader Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman has led to achieve this independence.
The country must move forward with these true history through the young generation. He thanked Daffodil International University for organizing such an event to inform the youth about the true history of the Liberation War.
IsmatQadir Gama also informed the young students that ‘Joy Bangla’ is the slogan of war. This is not a party slogan. This is the national slogan of all Bengalees. Young people need to know these true histories.
He told the students a long story from his participation in the liberation war and his return to the country. He urged the students to be patriot and to make this country a developed country in the world by dint of their merit and dedication. .
The two-day event also includes Vijay’s photography, illuminated campus, Vijay Fanush flying, candle lighting, Vijay’s film exhibition, photo exhibition, Vijay graffiti drawing, national anthem in unison, flash mob, Vijay rally and pleasant cultural performances.
