Members of the Institutions of Diploma Engineers Bangladesh (IDEB) have celebrated its golden jubilee festival and peoples engineering day-2020 in Rajshahi in a befitting manner.
Fazley Hossain Badsha, MP formally opened the celebration on the twenty first instant as chief guest by releasing balloons and festoons at the IDEB bhaban premises.

After a brief rally amid Covid-19 pandemic situation, they held a discussion meeting at their office conference hall to mark the festival.
Lawmaker Badsha addressed the meeting as chief guest, while local IDEB President Aminul Haque was in the chair.
IDEB members Kabir Uddin, Abdul Gafur, Tazul Islam, Naosher Ali and Sazzadur Rahman and Ward Councilors of Rajshahi City Corporation Nadira Begum and Nazrul Islam also spoke.
On the occasion, researcher Dr Tasiqul Islam Raja was accorded reception as recognition to his laudable contribution to the field of Bengali literature and culture.
In his speech, Fazley Hossain Badsha urged the diploma engineers to perform their duties with utmost sincerity and honesty for successful implementation of the development programmes.
He termed the diploma engineers as a big resource of the country and if the resource were properly utilized, the cherished development of the nation could be achieved.
Badsha said there is no alternative to rendering services with utmost sincerity and honesty for making the nation happy, prosperous and self-reliant.
“Diploma engineers have a vital role to play for making all the public level development activities transparent and appropriate, which is very important for the nation”, he said.
Badsha, however, said the present government has been working relentlessly to combat both the institutional and non-institutional corruption for betterment of the nation.
