Bangladesh Jewellers Samity (BAJUS) has decided to hike the prices of gold in the country’s market by Tk 2,333 per bhori.
Bajus decided to increase the price by holding an emergency meeting on Monday.
A meeting of the executive committee has decided to increase the prices of gold by Tk 200 per gram, increasing the gold price to Tk 2,333.
According to Bajus’ decision, the price of 22-carat bhori (11.664 grams) of gold will be increased by Tk 2,333 and sold at Tk 71,443 from today. 21-carat gold will be sold at Tk 68,293, 18-carat gold at Tk 59,544 and traditional gold at Tk 49,022 per bhori.
