Gold price increases again

The Bangladesh Jewellers Samity (BAJUS) has increased the gold price once again.
After two-fold increase of price by Tk 2641 per vori (11.664 grams) of good quality of gold in the market within just 26 days, the price has been increased in the local markets of the country.
BAJUS took the decesion again to adjust with the international market price effective from Monday in a meeting of the Executive Committee of BAJUS on Sunday in its city office, said a press release.
According to the new schedule, 22 carat gold price per gram will be Tk 4,300; 21 carat per gram Tk 4,100; 18 carat per gram Tk 3600 and traditional system gold price per gram Tk 2,300.
It reveals that 22 carat gold price per vori (11.664 gram) increased by Tk 1513; 21 carat by Tk 1338; 18 carat by Tk 1164 and traditional system gold price increased by Tk 582.
The 22 carat gold price per vori (11.664 gram) was Tk 48639. It will be sold at Tk 50,052 from now on.
The 21 carat gold price per vori (11.664 gram) was Tk 46,481 which will be sold at Tk 47,724 and 18 carat gold price per vori (11.664 gram) was Tk 40,824 which will be sold at Tk 41,904.
On the other hand, traditional system gold price of Tk 26,244 will be Tk 26,772.
The price of Silver (Cadmium) remained unchanged with Tk 1050 per vori (11.664 gram) or Tk 90 per gram in the local markets.
