The iconic RK Studios in Chembur, built by Raj Kapoor nearly 70 years ago was in news last year when a major fire broke out on sets of a TV show. The property was initially supposed to be re-built but veteran actor Rishi Kapoor confirmed in August that RK Studios was up for sale. Looks like the deal is about to be closed as a source confirmed to DNA that the Kapoor clan might sell the property to Godrej properties. Negotiations are in the final stages and once an investigation of ownership rights of the Kapoor siblings is conducted, the property shall be registered.
