Major General Abul Kalam Mohammad Ziaur Rahman, GOC of Barisal Sheikh Hasina Sena Nibas, inspected the construction work of the ring dam from Bogi to Gabtala in Sharankhola Upazila, which was damaged in the cyclone.
On Tuesday morning, he inspected the construction of the 1800-meter ring dam under construction under the supervision of the army. During this time, he officially dumped sandbags in the ruptured Baleshwar River and provided relief to 20 affected families.
He was accompanied by Brigadier General Mohammad Al Masum of 26th Infantry Brigade, Pankaj Kumar Roy, Superintendent of Police, Bagerhat, Nahiduzzaman, Executive Engineer, Bagerhat Water Development Board, Sardar Mostafa Shahin, Sharankhola Upazila Executive Officer, ASP Circle Riaz Uddin and Sharankhola Thana OC.
