Deputy Speaker of the Jatiya Sangsad Advocate Fazle Rabbi Mian has said coordinated efforts of the GO-NGO-MFIs are essential for mainstreaming of the backward people to attain sustainable development goals (SDGs).
“We need an integrated development approach involving local public representatives, experts, academicians, GO-NGOs and Micro Finance Institutions (MFIs) for reducing the prevailing backwardness in all indexes of development in Rangpur region,” he said.
The Deputy Speaker came up with the opinion while addressing a regional conference on ‘Role of Micro Financial Institutions in implementing the sustainable development goals’ held at the conference room of RDRS Bangladesh on Saturday as the chief guest.
