GM Ziaur Rahman shares 3rd slot in Commonwealth Chess

Bangladeshi GM Ziaur Rahman, a player of Dhaka Mohammedan SC, shared the 3rd slot with 15 other players in the Commonwealth Chess Championship securing five points after the 6th round matches in New Delhi, India on Sunday.
Another Bangladeshi GM Niaz Murshed, IM Mohammad Minhazuddin Ahmed and FM Sheikh Nasir Ahmed earned 4 points each while WIM Rani Hamid and Hanif Mollah of Bangladesh bagged 2.5 points each.
In the 6th round matches, Zia drew with IM Himanshu Sharma of India, Nasir beat Gajwa Ankit of India, Hanif beat Gokulakrishnan.of India, Rani Hamid drew with Prabhugaonkar Aditee Aman of India, Niaz lost to IM G Akash of India while Minhaz lost to Sanjoy of India,.
After 6th round matches of age group, FM Mohammad Fahad Rahman of Titas Club earned 4 points in Open Under-12 group to share 3rd position along with four other players..
Akib Jawad earned three points in Open Under-14 group, Tahsin Tajwar Zia bagged 2.5 points in Open Under-10 group, Rumaysa Haider earned 2.5 points in Girls Under-10 group after 6th round matches on Sunday.
In the 6th round matches of age group, Akib beat Kakara Aryaman of India, Fahad lost to Kaustav Chatterjee of India, Rumaysa lost to Panda Miracle of India while Tahsin lost to Pasricha Jayan of India.
