Bangladeshi GM Ziaur Rahman earned 3.5 points after making a draw with Vignesh of India in the 5th round match of the 13th Parsvnath Delhi International Open Grandmasters Chess Tournament held in the Indian capital on Monday.
Another Bangladeshi player Mohammad Manik bagged 1.5 points after the day’s 5th round.
In the B Category rated event, Mohammad Raja Miah became 271st and Mohammad Shahidul Islam became 277th securing 5 points each while Mohammad Tipu Sultan finished 394th with 3.5 points.
A total of 179 players from 18 countries, including 22 Grandmasters, three Women Grandmasters and 27 International Masters, are taking part in the Grandmasters event while a total of 484 players from six countries are taking part in the B Category rated event.
