GM Ziaur Rahman of Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited kept his solo lead in the points table with 9 points after 10th round of the Berger Paints National ‘A’ Chess Championship held at the Media Centre of Bangladesh Olympic Association Bhaban on Tuesday.
In the 10th round, Zia beat his teammate CM Mahtabuddin Ahmed. GM Enamul Hossain of Bangladesh Navy took the 2nd position with 7½ points. Enamul beat his teammate FM Sk Nasir Ahmed. Reigning champion GM Abdullah Al Rakib of Bangladesh Navy took the 3rd spot with 8 points and GM Niaz Murshed of Dhaka Mohammedan took the 4th position with 7½ points. Rakib beat Uten of Access Group while Niaz beat FM Kh Aminul Islam of Bangladesh Navy.
