GM Ziaur Rahman of Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited finished 25th in the 13th Parsvnath Delhi International Open Grandmasters Chess Tournament-2015, which was held in New Delhi, India. Zia earned 6½ points out of 10 games. 10th or last round games were held yesterday (Friday). In last round, Zia drew with IM Swapnil Dhopade of India.
Three players earned 8 points each and their position were decided by tie-breaking system. In the tie-breaker, GM Andrey Baryshpolets of Ukraine emerged the champion, GM Ivan Popov of Russia became the runner-up and GM David Alberto of Italy finished 3rd.
A total of 179 players including 22 Grandmasters, 3 women grandmasters and 27 International Masters from 18 countries participated in the event.
