GLI launches Accelerate- ‘Guardian of the Future’

Realizing the dependence of economic development on the budding of youth and the importance of skill building, Guardian Life Insurance Limited (GLI) has initiated an online program for young professional development named ‘Guardian of the Future’.
It is a rigorous 8-hours ‘Finishing School Program’ for the future guardians of the country focusing towards the new normal. It aims to empower graduating students, graduates, aspiring professionals, and Executive MBAs with the tools to enact positive change within themselves, their companies, and the community through a unique opportunity of being trained and assessed.
It has been designed to assist the young community by providing the knowledge and skills on four critical dimensions – Discovering themselves amidst the new norm; Empoweringthemselves towards self-development; Self-management as they embark in the career journey and to Lead themselves to self-mastery, said a press release.

The implementation partner of this program namely Lighthouse Bangladesh jointly with Guardian Life recently launched this signature ‘Finishing School Program’ via a virtual launching ceremony on 5th September in the presence of respective representatives of 15+ partner educational institutions and prominent corporate personalities. The ceremony concluded with a brief roundtable discussion among the resource persons.
The program aims to develop 200 Guardians within the next 2 months. Dhaka University, Daffodil University and Presidency University have already joined as strategic partner and 15 more prominent educational institutions are in process of getting on boarded. A certificate will be provided to the participating students after the evaluation process and their CVs will be forwarded to corporate employers bridging an existing gap.
Mr. Najmus Ahmed (Albab), CEO of Lighthouse said, “The online development program will be fostering the next generation of leadership by providing the incumbents a holistic direction on their future development through Personal Profiling, Competency Development and Value Integration for being a professional.The program will focus on embracing the new normal, exploring new opportunities, facing uncertainty; after this pandemic is over.”
M MMonirulAlam, CEO of Guardian Life, on the launch of the program said, “GLI understands the importance of skilled youth and always promotes skill development, especially in youth. A developed nation is inevitably a skilled nation. In times of crisis, classroom learning for skill development may be unsafe or impossible. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, universities and classrooms nationwide have shut down indefinitely. With no face-to-face interaction, online training provides a safe and effective alternative to the classroom.
