The High Court (HC) on Thursday directed the government to immediately give monthly payment order (MPO) facilities to 43 teachers of different schools and colleges across the country.
The Bench of Justice Md Ashfaqul Islam and Justice Mohammad Ali passed the order after hearing four separate writ petitions filed by 43 teachers of the institutions seeking necessary orders.
Petitioners’ lawyer Mohammad Siddique Ullah Miah told that his clients have been discharging duties as teachers at different private schools and colleges for long time.
But, they are not being paid under MPO facilities although they have fulfilled all terms and conditions of the government to get the facilities, he added.
Earlier, on March 22 this year, the HC had directed the government to give MPO facilities to 308 teachers of different schools and colleges across the country.
