The prime accused of Banani rape case Shafat Ahmed has confessed during interrogation that presence of attractive girls, wine and yaba is a very common fashion items for enjoy during night party at any city hotel.
He also confessed that the rich families are now familiar to such activities in the parties in the city and elsewhere across the country, detective officials said on Monday.
Providing of girls, various types of wine and yaba are very lucrative items for the high-profile clients that are con
sidered as the key party of hotel business, they said quoting Shafat.
Safat also raised question why these two girls filed a rape case against them with the police station by forgetting their understanding to give chance for sex at the night party and such incident is nothing new in the hotel.
According to him, we book special rooms or VIP rooms in the name of birthday party or other party. He also confessed to the interrogators that their groups passed enjoyable times during night-long parties also at other star hotels and noble guest houses in Gulshan, Banani and other parts of the capital. We choose the beautiful girls, model girls and item girls from home and abroad.
He used a number of liked girls, including so called female friends, for sex and enjoyment in different parties in several hotels in Gulshan and Banani areas, said the sources.
Safat gang also managed girls by alluring them in the name of brand ambassador of apan Jewllers and other multinational groups, they said.
He disclosed names of some high profile personalities, including famous businessmen, industrialists, political leaders, lawmakers and sons of high ups bureaucrats that made the interrogators astonished, the detectives sources said.
He also informed the cops about the sensational gold smuggling business of his father, owner of Apan Jewelers and involvement of the owner of the hotel in connection with the rape incident, they said.
Another sources said that owner of the hotel and ruling party’s lawmaker (Jhalokathi constituency-1) BH Harun’s four sons had gone into hiding after realizing the danger of their involvement in this case and their phone switch found switched off.
Meanwhile, they investigation team have already interrogated the Banani Police Station’s Officer-in-Charge (OC) BM Forman Ali and two other cops personnel and four hotel staff, the detective sources said.
On the other hand, a team of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-10 arrested another accused of Banani rape case from the city’s Nababpur Road on Sunday evening, said Mohammed Mohiuddin Faruque, Additional Superintendent of RAB-10.
The arrested Belal, the driver of Shafat, admitted to the RAP officials that he took video of the rape incident at the hotel on March 28, the elite force official said.
