Girls U-14 final match abandoned due to earthquake

Bangladesh-Nepal qualifying final match of the AFC U-14 Girls Championship scheduled to be held on Saturday afternoon at Dashrath Stadium, in Kathmandu was abandoned after a massive earthquake struck the country.
Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) women’s wing source confirmed BSS that all the girls and team officials of Bangladesh U-14 team are safe and sound and currently staying in the hotel in Kathmandu. They will return home today (Sunday) if the airport reopens.
BFF sources said they have received a confirmation mail from AFC regarding the cancelation of Bangladesh’s qualifying final match.
A powerful earthquake of 7.8 magnitude struck Nepal and neighboring countries this afternoon which left hundreds of people dead.
