A total of 39,402 (71.75) percent out of 54,915 students passed in the HSC in 2014 with 2,225 (4.05 percent) GPA-5 under Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Barisal.
It was the highest rate of pass under BEB in last 14 years since inauguration.
Among the passed students 19,693 (70.73 percent) out of appeared 27,841 were male while 19,709 (72.80 percent) out of appeared 27,074 were female examinees proving girls done better.
Total 86 examinees including 69 male and 17 female were expelled for adapting unfair means in HSC examination 2014 under BEB.

Total 5,849 (82.17 percent) out 7,118 examinees passed HSC under BEB under Science and Home Economics group.
In Business Studies group 14,665 (79.64 percent) out of appeared 18,415 students passed HSC from BEB.
Total 18,888 (64.28 percent) out of 29,382 appeared examinees passed HSC under BEB from Humanities and Islamic Studies group.
