UNB, Dhaka :
The young girl whose dismembered body was recovered from the capital’s Uttara area on Friday has been identified as Khadiza Begum.
Uttara police recovered Khadiza’s sliced body in two sacks from behind a six-storey building at road No 20 in sector-14 of Uttara. Victim’s sister Minara Begum on Sunday morning went to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue and identified the body.
Later at about 12:20 pm, the body was handed over to her family members from the hospital morgue.
Contacted, sub-inspector Firoz Alam of Uttara West Police Station said Khadiza hailing from Haluaghat in Mymenshing had been living at Pakuria under Turagh Police Station with her husband rickshaw-puller Abdul Quader. She used to work as a part time domestic help at a house in Uttara, said the SI. He, however, said they are yet to find out clues to the killing.
