An eight – year old girl who is a student of Class-II of Betbunia Govt. Primary School under Chitalmari Upazila in Bagerhat district was violated by a middle aged man on Friday afternoon.
The victim was admitted to Bagerhat Sadar Hospital where her medical test was already done. In this connection the father of the girl lodged a case with Chitalmari PS against the man named Israfil Munshi. But police could not arrest the rapist as he went into hided.
Police said that on Friday afternoon the girl was playing in a garden behind her house alone the rapist enticed her and took her to his fish farm where he committed rape on her and fled away leaving the girl injured. Being informed of the matter father of the victim girl registered a case with the local PS at the night against the rapist.
