Girl missing from Bhola recovered in Barisal

An eleven-year old school girl missing from Bhola one month ago was recovered in Barisal by Bangladesh Women Lawyers Association and handed over to family members with the help of Victim Support Center of Barisal Metropolitan Police on Friday afternoon.
Masuk Kamal, Area Co-ordinator of Rural-Urban Child Migration Project of BNWLA, said , recovered victim was identified as Mim, class-V student of Khayerhut government primary school under Daulatkha upazila of Bhola district and daughter of Amena Begum and Kuwait expatriate Md. Hossain.
Adv Munira Begum, divisional in charge of BNWLA Legal Aid Center, Shahnaj Parvin, assistant commissioner, Sub Inspector Champa , Sub-Inspector Liza of VSC of BMP, Zafar Hossain, union parishad member of Joynagor of Daulatkha, were present at Barisal VSC during handing over the girl to family members.
The VSC and BNWLA sources said Alfazur Rahman, an activist of BNWLA, found missing Mim roaming at Chandmari Madrasa area of the city.
BNWLA handed over her to VSC after lodging a general diary (no. 1506) on November 26, 2014 as she failed to say her definite address.
Police and BNWLA activists after interrogation succeeded to know name of her school and one of her teacher and contacted with family members through Daulatkha PS.
Amena Begum, mother of the girl, said Mim was one of her four daughters and she fled from home after she rebuked her for negligence in study.
Local UP Member Zakir Hossain said after informed by Daulatkha PS, he accompanied with local village police contacting with family members of Mim informed about her recovery.
