A 18-year-old girl was allegedly gang-raped by three youths in Bhuwachhari area under Kamalchhari union of the district’s sadar on Monday noon.
The victim’s filed a case with Khagrachhari Police Station that night, accusing Md. Al-Amin, 17, Jahidul Islam, 16, and Aminul Islam, 18. All of them are residents of Bhuwachhari area.
Police arrested the accuses on Monday night in connection with the case.
According to the case statement, the girl left her house on Monday noon to raise goat. At that time the three accuses took the victim to behind the bush and raped her.
The girl’s allegation that, “Accused Al-Amin used to put pressure on the victim to love him for a long time.”
Officer-In-Charge of Khagrachhari Police Station Shahadat Hossain Tito said, “The victim was sent to Khagrachhari District Sadar Hospital for medical examinations.”
He also said, “The three detainees youth have already confessed in police about the gang-rape in the initial interrogation. They were produced in court on Tuesday afternoon. The court has sent three detained youth to jail.”
