The hanging body of a female resident student of Cambrian School and College has been recovered from her room at the college hostel in the capital’s Kalachandpur area.
The deceased is Samia-tuz-Sadeka Ema, 17, a second year student of the college.
Inspector (investigation) Firoz Kabir told Dhaka Tribune: “Being informed, the police recovered the body from a room on the fourth floor of the hostel on Thursday night.”Further details of the incident could not be known immediately.
Earlier in 2014, a male student of the same institute committed suicide following alleged physical and mental torture by the hostel super and his deputy in the capital’s Bhatara area.
