An eight-year-old girl died after being electrocuted in Shikalbaha area of Patiya upazila in Chittagong on Friday.
The deceased was Rubi Akter daughter of Jamal Hossain of the area.
Rubi died on the spot while she came in contact with a live electric wire which got snapped off an electric pole due to gusty wind at night, said Habibur Rahman, a sub-inspector of Karnaphuli Police Station.
