A teenage girl, abducted from Fatullah of Narayanganj on last May 27, was recovered by RAB-8 of Faridpur last night from Ramchndra village of Sadarpur upazilla of the district.
According to Rapid Action Battalion(RAB)-8 sources, they got a requisition fax message from RAB-11 of Narayanganj yesterday (Sunday)that one Kanij Fatema Iva, 14 daughter of Kamrul Islam of Pagla area had been missing after she went for coaching. RAB-11 sent all the particulars of Iva including her cell phone number. Kamrul Islam lodged a GD with Fatullah police station in this connection.
After getting the fax message RAB- 8 of Faridpur started tracking of cell phone of iva and ascertained the location of Iva in Ramchandra village of Sadarpur upazilla of this district.
Accordingly after intensive intelligence surveillance a team of RAB-8 led by Additional Police Super Md Khaleduzzaman carried on raid in the house of one Kazi Zafar on Sunday evening.
There they found out Kanij Fatema Iva who told to the law enforcers that Lenin Kazi allured her and abducted and had brought to this place. RAB arrested Lenin Kazi.
RAB-8 is now taking necessary measures to send both the victim and abductor to Naryanganj RAB-11 as per their requisition.
