Mohammad Gias Uddin, councilor and panel mayor of Bagmoniram ward, has taken charge as the acting Mayor of Chittagong City Corporation (CCC).
Gias Uddin took over as acting mayor on May 10 after the CCC Mayor left for Malaysia on a 15-day visit. CCC’s public relations officer Kalam Chowdhury confirmed the matter. Taking over the charge, the acting Mayor sought the full cooperation of the staff and said that everyone should work sincerely in urban development and civic service.
