An ‘Introduction seminar of CITIC Construction’ regarding EPC+F in the Mega Infrastructure Projects was held recently at the Westin Dhaka.
Obaidul Quader, MP, Minister for Road, Transport and Bridges was present at the seminar as the Chief Guest while Md. Mozibul Hoque, MP, Minister for Railways was the Special Guest. M.A. Mannan, MP, State Minister for Finance and Planning, Kazi Akram Uddin Ahmed, Chairman of Standard Bank Ltd. and member of the Advisory Council, Bangladesh Awami League and Representative of the Honorable Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Bangladesh were present at the seminar as guest of honor. Respected Secretaries and other Government High Officials; Chairmen, Directors & Managing Directors of Banks; Local & Foreign Delegates and Dignitaries as well as many Newspaper & Media Persons were present in the Seminar. The seminar was presided over by Dr. Mohammed Faruque, Managing Director of Orchard Developers and Construction Ltd. and Chairman of Orchard Group.
A delegation team led by President of CITIC Tao Yang attended the seminar where other representatives namely Mr. Xue Yong, General Manager of Asia Pacific Division, Mr. Tao Yang Marketing Chief Representative were also present.
In his speech, Xue Yong, Manager of Asia Pacific Division of CITIC said, “We have been observing the infrastructural development of Bangladesh for many years and we are happy to be introduced finally by Orchard Developers and Construction in Bangladesh.”
He mentioned that CITIC has been implementing giant development projects in five continents in more than 30 countries.
