Gano Forum President Dr Kamal Hossain on Friday urged all to get united for what he said restoring democracy, the rule of law and the election system, and establishing people’s rights.
“There’s no proper democratic atmosphere in the country. The rule of law is now largely absent in the country hampering people’s security,” he said while addressing a party meeting, said a press release.
Dr Kamal said people’s trust on the election system reached almost zero following the January-5 general election and Union Parisahd polls. He also claimed that the government has totally failed to ensure people’s security as crossfire, murder and forced disappearance continue in the country.
